Direct Movers Global Company Moving Policy
Invoice and Payment:
- Invoices are due on the day of service and can be settled by cash or credit card. We do not accept checks as a form of payment.
Moving Team Arrival:
- On the day of your move, our professional moving team will contact you beforehand to provide an estimated arrival time at your residence. We prioritize punctuality and will keep you informed throughout the process.
Moving Truck:
- Please note that as a labor-only moving company, you are responsible for securing your own moving truck for the day of the move. Should you require guidance or recommendations regarding truck rentals, feel free to ask for assistance.
Furniture Protection:
- To ensure the safe transportation of your valuable furniture pieces, especially large glass and heavy items, we highly recommend using furniture wrap and/or pads. These precautions help to prevent damages during transit.
- TVs and Electronics: All TVs and electronics, including computers and monitors, must be adequately bubble wrapped and boxed for transportation. Unwrapped and unboxed TVs will not be transported as per company policy. Direct Movers Global will not be liable for damages resulting from non-compliance.
- Wrapping and Boxing Service: If you require assistance with wrapping or boxing your furniture, TVs, or computers, our experienced team can provide this service for an additional fee of $30.00. Please arrange this in advance or prepare the items yourself before our team arrives.
Additional Time:
- If you anticipate needing extra time on the day of your move, we are happy to accommodate your request. We offer an additional hour at a complimentary rate of $125.00 per hour. Please inform us in advance if you expect to require additional time.
Cancellations/Rescheduling:
- If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact our customer service team directly by phone at 205.212.4800 or by email at services@directmoversglobal.com. Kindly make these requests within 24 hours of your scheduled moving date.
Fees and Estimates:
- Please note Direct Movers Global's fees and estimates are determined based on the information provided at the time of booking. In the event additional services are required at the time of service, additional fees may apply.
-No refunds permitted.
- Two hour minimum required on all moves.
Weather Policy:
- We closely monitor weather forecasts leading up to the scheduled move. In the event of adverse weather conditions, we will proactively contact you to discuss potential options and alternative plans. Our team will provide timely updates regarding any necessary changes or rescheduling due to weather conditions.
